We rode the new Goat Head to Connor Bluff trail during a Gladstone Mountain Bike Club social ride on 19 January 2020. It was a gruelling but excellent day and we rode this trail towards the end of the ride.
I rode my 2020 Ridley Sablo XO1 on this ride and I have to say she performed like a charm.
This 10 minute video shows the full uncut ride along Goat Head to Connor Bluff (green rated) so you can get the full experience. I narrate throughout but the sound is a bit windy so turn on the captions so you can share my pain 🙂
If you use Strava, you can click on the picture below to view the segment.

Goat Head is about 10 kilometres north of Southend on the eastern side of Curtis Island. The mountain bike trail runs for 4 kilometres south to Connor Bluff where you’ll find a bit of shade and a lookout with awesome views.
Special thanks to Gladstone Mountain Bike Club for putting on this social ride. You can follow Gladstone MTB on Facebook.
